CMU Insights presents The CMU Guide To The UK Market
CMU Insights presented a three hour strand as part of Canadian Music Week 2016 involving members of the UK delegation, the UK being the featured country at the Canadian music industry conference that year.

CMU Business Editor Chris Cooke provided a concise overview of the UK music market, with input from BPI’s Geoff Taylor, PPL’s Keith Harris, The Orchard’s Scott Cohen and Sound Diplomacy’s Shain Shapiro. He then got some digital perspectives via three one-on-one interviews with Merlin’s Charles Caldas, Mediaclarity’s Jeremy Silver and Music Glue’s Mark Meharry, before leading a panel looking at British indie labels and publishers, with Cooking Vinyl’s Martin Goldschmidt, Hospital Records’ Chris Goss, Beggars Group’s Simon Wheeler and Mute Song’s David McGinnis.

As well as the main CMU Insights strand, CMU also presented a panel debate on the ‘Dissecting The Digital Dollar’ report involving MMF UK’s Jon Webster, FAC’s Paul Pacifico, SOCAN’s Genevieve Cote and MROC’s Julia Train.
